Today's Photos
The first dish to be outfitted for the EVLA.
On our visit to the VLA, the array was in the D (for dense) Configuration.
The one pointed straight up is stowed due to high winds.
This is the room where all of the newly correlated data is written to
tape.
High winds and an impending storm kept up from getting to walk inside one
of the dishes, but it made for a neat picture by Stephen.
Here's a view of the array and the impending storm from the control
building's balcony.
This rabbit obviously thinks he blends in very well because it let us get
quite close.
Do we look like the real deal yet?
Does the whisperphone actually work in all this wind, Ned?
Can you hear me now? How about now?
Most fountain statues are actually in the water, but the Val Verde
probably doesn't want soggy customers.
"Stick 'em up, and give me all your steak!"
Who is that holding up Frank and Derek? No one but them seems to be too
concerned about possible danger.
